Центр по исследованию геноцида ассирийцев в годы Первой мировой войны – «Сейфо» направил послание члену Конгресса США Нанси Пелоси. В послании позитивно оцениваются итоги прошедшего 13 октября голосования комитета по международным делам Конгресса по вопросу армянского геноцида. «Сейфо-центр» считает принятую комитетом резолюцию неполной, поскольку в ней ничего не говорится о геноциде ассирийцев и понтийских греков.
Центр призвал направить на имя Нанси Пелоси письмо следующего содержания:

Ms. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi,
I salute this historical and courageous resolution that the US House of Representatives has taken in regards to the Armenian Genocide. On the other hand, I would like to remind you and the USA Congress that the Assyrians (Also known as Syriacs and Chaldeans) were also eliminated alongside Armenians and they too were victims of the same Genocidal policies; that were planned and executed to eradicate the Ottoman Empire not only of Armenians but the Assyrians too.
Taking this fact in to consideration one is puzzled as to why the decision fell short of including the sufferings of the Assyrians.
We feel that the same measures should be applied to the Assyrian genocide and the Pontus Greeks. This historical decision is incomplete until its rectification with the full inclusion of the Assyrian and Pontus Greek sufferings’ that should be recognised alongside that of the Armenians.
